Welcome to the Saltwater Light Tackle Fishing Club

The Saltwater Light Tackle Fishing Club is a not-for-profit organization having the objectives to enhance members' saltwater light tackle fishing knowledge and skills, to promote fellowship among saltwater recreational fishing groups, and to create a forum in which members can share their experience, expertise, and goodwill.  The Club promotes good sportsmanship, fair play, and respect for our natural resources. The Club further advocates boating safety, good boating practices, and continuing education relating to the responsible use of coastal marine resources.

Meeting Information

The Club holds its regular monthly meeting on the last Tuesday of January through October with a dinner served at 6:00 p.m., followed by the business meeting at 7:00 p.m.  We meet at the Carteret County Sportfishing Association meeting hall located next to the public boat ramp facilities at the foot of the Beaufort draw bridge.  Each of our meetings features a guest speaker who is knowledgeable about the local area and its fishing, about tackle and techniques, and other fisheries-related topics.  The Club Holiday Gala meeting is held the last week of November at a time and location announced to the Club members in September.

Regular membership in the Club is open to all persons of goodwill who accept the objectives of the Club, and who have paid the membership fee as established by the Board of Directors.  Two classes of membership are available: Individual/Family membership, and Sponsor membership on behalf of a company or business enterprise.  Individual/Family membership application forms may be downloaded using the link to the left.
